Meet Dr. Besley

Dr. Besley grew up not far from here in Freeport, Illinois. Frequent trips to the Madison area as a child built positive memories and created the desire to one day call it home. As a fourth generation dentist (this started with his great-grandfather in 1897), Dr. Besley grew up around dentistry and developed a love for the profession at a young age.

After earning a BA in Biology from Illinois Wesleyan University, he attended the University of North Carolina for his dental degree (DDS), then completed a General Practice Residency at Meriter Hospital in Madison in 2008. The Madison area has been home ever since. After gaining experience working as an associate dentist, Dr. Besley opened his dental practice in 2013.

Dr. Besley and his wife, Laura, have three children (Sam, Benji, and Marie) who keep their lives full and interesting.

When he isn’t seeing patients at the office, Dr. Besley loves time with his family, gardening and being outdoors, cooking, and serving in local (www.moresmileswi.org) and international dental mission work.
